Acer is back in the game with new smartphones launching in India soon
Acer is set to make a comeback in the smartphone market with the launch of two new models in India. The official launch date has been revealed through a dedicated landing page on Amazon India, scheduled for April 15 (Tuesday).
The landing page teases some exciting features such as a “Supercomputer core in your hands” and “AI-powered starlight precision”, although the details remain vague. The two new models, Acer Acerone Liquid S272E4 and Acer Acerone Liquid S162E4, have already been fully revealed.
Key features of the new Acer smartphones
The Acer Acerone Liquid S272E4 is a budget-friendly device equipped with a 12nm MediaTek chip and a 6.75” IPS LCD display with 720p+ resolution. It boasts a 20MP camera and a massive 5,000mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Acer Acerone Liquid S162E4 features a slightly smaller 6.52” 720p+ IPS LCD display with a 16MP camera. Both models offer similar specs, with the S162E4 using Gorilla Glass 5 for added durability.
The Acer brand in India
Interestingly, the new Acer smartphones are actually manufactured by Indkal Technologies, the company behind Acer-branded TVs in India. This partnership marks Acer’s reentry into the Indian market, providing consumers with budget-friendly and feature-packed smartphones.
