Top Spin 2K25 : Update Adds Friend Play Options
Top Spin 2K25, the latest game from developer Hangar 13, originally did not include the option to play against friends, limiting players to random matchmaking only. However, a recent update has changed that, with a download size of approximately 440.5 MB on Steam. Here are the new features added by Hangar 13:
Features Added:
- A social menu to manage your 2K friends and platform friends
- An entire social system allowing you to invite your 2K and platform friends to online private matches
- The Vivox Voice Chat System for communication in online matches
Adding friends from other platforms is possible, but you will need to use their 2K Name rather than their platform name directly. You can easily find your 2K Name in two ways, which you can then share with your Cross Play friends:
- In your 2K Account on the web, check your Display Name on the Account Details tab
- In TopSpin 2K25, find your 2K Name in the Main Menu > Settings > 2K Account
Despite these new features, Top Spin 2K25 still does not offer the option to play doubles online, which is disappointing for fans (as previously mentioned). Hangar 13’s Game Director mentioned that additional options may be added in future updates. Fingers crossed that a future patch will introduce this much-anticipated feature to Top Spin 2K25.
