Nouvelle interface simplifiée pour l’application Gemini sur Android
Google redesigns Gemini app on Android with a new simplified homescreen
Earlier this month, Google revamped the Gemini app’s homepage on desktop, replacing the traditional “Hello” greeting with a simpler “Hello can I help you?” message. Following this update, the search engine giant has now introduced the same design on mobile devices, specifically on Android.
The latest report by 9to5Google reveals that the Gemini app on Android has undergone a significant update, featuring a more streamlined homescreen interface. The new design aims to enhance user experience by focusing on simplicity and ease of use.
The updated Gemini app now showcases a cleaner and more minimalistic homescreen, replacing the previous cluttered layout. The new interface features a prominent greeting message, “Hello, [user name],” along with a message bubble icon in the top-left corner. This icon grants users quick access to recent conversations and Gems, a new feature introduced by Google.
Users can easily access the new Gemini interface by updating the app on their Android device. However, the rollout of this design may vary across regions, with some users receiving the update later than others.
Introducing Gems: Google’s latest addition to Gemini’s mobile app
Google recently integrated Gems into the Gemini mobile app, following their initial launch on gemini.google.com for web users in August. With Gems, users can program the AI assistant to perform specific and repetitive tasks efficiently. These pre-generated Gems, such as a learning coach, brainstormer, career guide, and writing editor, aim to simplify daily tasks and save time for users.
Previously, the “Recent” section in the app was renamed as “Chat & Gems,” but now, with the updated homescreen layout, Gems are accessible via the bubble icon in the top-left corner. This new feature allows users to create detailed sets of instructions for the AI assistant, enhancing productivity and efficiency in various tasks.
