Razer suspend les ventes de laptops aux États-Unis suite à de nouvelles tarifications

Abrupt halt in Razer laptop sales to the United States
Changes made to Razer’s US website
Razer has recently ceased the sales of laptops on its US website, effective from April 2, 2025. This decision comes in response to the implementation of new US tariffs on the same day. Customers visiting the website will now find all buy links for laptops and certain accessories replaced with a “Notify Me” button, prompting them to sign up for updates via email.
Framework Laptop 13 impacted as well
Framework, another laptop manufacturer, has also announced a halt on sales of its cheaper products in the US market, including the Framework Laptop 13. The introduction of a 10% tariff on imports from Taiwan has made it unprofitable for the company to continue selling these devices in the US.
Impact on the PC market and pricing
This move by Razer and Framework is expected to be followed by other players in the PC market, leading to a potential rise in prices of up to 20%. High-end system integrator Puget Systems has expressed its intention to maintain pricing until its current inventory runs out.
Uncertainty ahead
It remains uncertain when Razer products will be available for purchase in the US again. The combination of tariffs and retaliatory measures has created a sense of instability in the market, prompting some companies to temporarily suspend operations until the situation stabilizes.
