Last year, Google launched the Pixel 8 series alongside a hot set of useful AI-powered features. The company put a big focus on the content creation capabilities of its mobile devices, so many of the new features went in that direction. Now, Samsung might copy, or rather “inherit,” Pixel’s Audio Eraser on Galaxy devices running One UI 7.
As its name suggests, Audio Eraser lets you remove background noise from a video recording to put the focus on your voice. Thanks to the power of artificial intelligence, the feature can detect and isolate the subject’s voice from the background noise. You can then adjust the volume of each item by using intuitive sliders. The feature has been exclusive to Pixel users since its launch, but Galaxy fans might get it in the near future.
Une prochaine mise à jour pour les Samsung Galaxy
Eligible Samsung Galaxy devices reportedly to get a Pixel-like Audio Eraser feature
Reliable tipster Ice Universe revealed on Weibo (via @Sedat20022021 on X/Twitter) that Samsung will ship the Audio Eraser feature in the next One UI 7 beta update. On Google Pixel devices, Audio Eraser is part of the Google Photos app. However, the South Korean giant will integrate it into its own Gallery app. Samsung and Google have been working together for a long time, allowing the Korean company to access Google’s AI developments before any other brand.
Samsung just opened the One UI 7 beta program last week, first on the Galaxy S24 series. According to tipster Tarun Vats, the company will start the rollout of One UI 7 beta 2 on December 12 at the latest. The tipster even suggests that the rollout could begin a little earlier than that.
The first One UI 7 beta brought a number of new AI-powered features and the redesigned UI that Samsung has been working on for a while. The next updates are expected to include even more features, in addition to the obvious stability improvements.
Une nouvelle fonctionnalité pour les vidéos en développement
Plus, SammyGuru reports that Samsung is currently developing an “Object Eraser” feature for videos. This will undoubtedly greatly enhance the creation of content on Galaxy devices. However, this feature could arrive with One UI 7.1 and could be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
