The All England Lawn Tennis Club has recently announced the launch of their own esports event, the Wimbledon eChamps series, featuring TopSpin 2K25. This event will take place alongside the iconic tennis tournament and is presented in collaboration with American Express, the same sponsor as the physical tournament. Players are invited to participate in this exciting competition, and here are all the details you need to know.
The eChamps will kick off with open qualifiers, giving TopSpin 2K25 players the opportunity to compete and earn a spot in the live finals at Wimbledon in September. Qualifiers will be held in various countries across Europe and North America, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, and the US. Registration for the tournament is now open, with qualifying matches starting from July 6.
Participants who make it to the finals will have the chance to showcase their skills at the prestigious Wimbledon venue, with the live finals set to take place in the Media Theatre. The ultimate winner will be crowned the first-ever Wimbledon eChampion and will receive a range of exciting prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to the Gentlemen’s Singles Final in 2025 and a unique gold-plated PlayStation 5 console engraved with their name and achievement by Wimbledon’s official engraver.
