Ubisoft’s highly anticipated first-person shooter, XDefiant, is finally set to be released for free. Here, you will find all the information you need about the release date, time countdown, and preseason content for PS5, PC, and Xbox.

XDefiant Release Date

The release date for XDefiant is on May 21st, marking the start of preseason rather than Season 1. According to Ubisoft, preseason will last six weeks, with Season 1 expected to begin in early July. New seasons are planned every three months, bringing fresh content such as weapons, maps, factions, and events.

If you participated in previous test sessions, any rewards unlocked will carry over to the full release.

Release Time

The release time for XDefiant is 10AM PT/ 1PM ET/ 6PM BST on May 21st. This launch time applies to all platforms and features crossplay and cross progression, allowing players to enjoy multiplayer with friends on different systems and carry progress across platforms.

How to Download

Players can preload the game on PS5, Xbox, and PC since May 16th. The download process is straightforward, with players able to find the game on their respective digital stores and install it for immediate play.

For PC players, Ubisoft highlights key features such as support for DX11 and DX12, uncapped frame rate, widescreen support, and NVIDIA Reflex for low latency gameplay.

Preseason Content

The game will include preseason content from the server test session, featuring factions like Echelon, Phantoms, Cleaners, Libertad, and Dedsec. There are various maps and modes available, offering a diverse gameplay experience right from the start.

In addition to the standard modes, a new Ranked Mode Practice Playlist allows players to practice for competitive matches.
