YouTube app sur Android perturbe les utilisateurs avec des barres grises lors de la visualisation plein écran

YouTube continues to face issues with its Android app, this time with gray bars appearing on the sides of videos when viewed in full screen mode.
Gray bars annoyance for Android users
When the video’s aspect ratio doesn’t match YouTube’s recommended 16:9 ratio, black bars are typically displayed on the sides. However, recent reports indicate that Android users are experiencing gray bars instead, which can be distracting especially in dark environments.
Recent app update to blame
According to a report by TechIssuesToday, a recent app update seems to be the cause of this annoying gray bar issue. Users have expressed their frustration on platforms like X and Reddit.
Google has acknowledged the problem and has already rolled back this behavior with a beta update version 20.13.32. However, users on the stable version of the app may still encounter the gray bars until the fix reaches them.
Waiting for the fix
While YouTube works on resolving bugs and issues, it is also experimenting with a new Premium feature that adds recommendations to the playback queue. Android users are advised to wait for the fix to be implemented on the stable version for a better viewing experience.
